Tami,
The Nava Zahavi earrings on the home page are top on my list as well. My family is from Arizona. The desert is my birth place and I have always been drawn to Turquoise Jewelry. I have been intrigued by the role gems, gemstones, minerals, crystals, precious metals and semi precious stones have played a role in the development of cultures. "The Anasazi had opened their Turquoise mines by 1000 AD and had established extensive trading practices with the peoples of what is now Mexico. The mining locations included locations in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. In cities such as Chaco Canyon, the Anasazi traded their Turquoise for the feathers of tropical birds. As demand for the Anasazi Turquoise grew in the south, the society at Chaco Canyon grew wealthy. The ancient Turquoise jewelry of the Zuni tribes was characterized by prominent inserts of the stone. Navajo Turquoise jewelry features die-stamped designs. In the 16th century, the cultures of the American Southwest used Turquoise as currency. It was also often found on the facades of Indian homes"

My mother has a stunning Turquoise & Silver Squash Blossom Necklace that was given to her as a child that one day she will pass on to me!

8.  comments about: Wearing Jeans with Boots: To tuck or not to tuck?

I was giggling to myself when I read your blog! I was just given a beautiful pair of boots from my Brother for Christmas. I tried on several pair of jeans with the boots hidden. I wanted everyone to see my new boots but I had the hardest time wearing them on the outside of my jeans. I finally went to the party wearing my straight leg JBrand Jeans tucked in to my boots feeling like I was in a time warp. I was determined to showoff my new boots! I feel so much better now!

Thanks!

I spend alot of time appreciating beauty. Whether it is in nature, art, clothes and the beauty of people. I do ponder my own personal style. As i get a bit older my mom has brought to my attention that it is worth dreaming of new ways of expressing my indivual fashion statement.( I tend to get stuck in dark colors)

I am certainly inspired by far away cultures, vintage glamour and simplicity. It's important to me to look sophisticated with an edge of the unusual.

My wish for 2007 is to make it ok to wear more colors. I would also like to be more comfortable wearing accessories to liven up my wardrobe. I tend to get dressed and then I undress, wearing the bare minimum.

It's a new year and I am excited to throw open the closet door!
